What do you think? Is Hollywood doomed...or is this going to be the beginning of the next era of filmmaking?

You missed one major factor: a judge has ruled that AI creations do NOT have the protection of a copywrite. Studios won't distribute something that can be legally stolen by anyone.

I'm waiting for the day when a movie is made with AI that is so real looking people will think its live action.

I personally have no issue with A.I. films. Especially if they can be more creative and appealing than hollywood films.

AI remixes content it has no legal rights to and can’t be copyrighted. People are pinning so much on AI and it’s more than possible that it will eventually retroactively restricted to access only public domain art to remix making most of what’s being made now illegal to distribute for profit.

i don't like the idea of cloning an actor's likeness and using it forever, however, i am all for using A.I. to replace the garbage dump of writing Hollywood has come up with over in recent times.
